According to the 2019 Vermont Department of Public Health, over 30% of LGBTQ high school youth in Vermont (including 39% of Transgender youth) had made a suicide plan within the past 12 months. Youth who felt like they mattered to their community were associated with an over 70% decrease in making a suicide plan!
